Theresa Passed from the loving arms of her family to the loving arms of our lord on Monday May 2, 2016.

She was born on June 11, 1929 in Port Arthur, Ontario and graduated from Hillcrest High School where she was captain of both the girls volleyball and basketball teams. Soon after she married the love of her life Raymond Holbrook on March 25, 1950 and together began their lives and raised their family. During that time Theresa worked at both the Royal Bank and the Lakehead Board of Education as well as taking time out to raise her family.

For Theresa, everyday was special. Her passion and zest for life was contagious as was her sense of humor. Theresa loved to travel. She embraced every chance to see the world and had fond memories of performing Tai Chi with Master Peng Youlian and her group from 55 Plus on the Great Wall of China as well as her other Asian, UK and Europe adventures with her mother-in-law Rose and daughter Dina.

Over the years Theresa had many hobbies and passions. They included photography, cooking and carpet bowling for which she attended the B.C. senior Games in 2009. She also enjoyed gardening and fishing at her cottage on Loon Lake. On many evenings you would find her out in the boat casting a line with her trusty pocket fisherman. Dedicated to walking, she logged many kms on a regular basis with her friends around Boulevard Lake, the City of Thunder Bay and the City of Duncan. In the winter months her Laplander hat was always of interest to passersby never ceasing to spark an amicable conversation.

In her later years Theresa found enjoyment in reading, computer games, watching her grandchildren grow and celebrating their achievements.

Theresa was predeceased by her husband Raymond, parents Anthony and Lucia, brothers Gus and Frank; sisters Jessie, Mary, Lucille and her in-laws Alfred and Rose.

She was a loving and devoted mother to: Alfred Holbrook (Michelle) Nanaimo BC, Renee Solinsky (Keith) White Rock BC, Maryann Oliphant (Matthew) London ON and Dina and Dan Duta of Duncan BC. Proud, cherished and much loved grandma to Tanis, Ryan, Kolby, Krammer, Kelsie, Kate and Gillian.

She will be missed and fondly remembered by her sister Edith and brother Anthony (Florida) sisters and brothers-in-law Lois, Joanne, Alan, Laurie, Don and Robin and Lorna as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Her strong faith and love for her family and dear friends will endure.
